1. Please give us the spec of the IP camera.

2. Please check if the IP camera supports standard PoE(802.3at/af) or passive PoE.?

3. if it supports standard PoE, it needs to use the 48V power adapter (Note: need to check the power pin of the RJ-45 is Pin4,5,7,8 or 1,2,3,6; our APOE03 use the pin4,5,7,8)

4. If it supports passive PoE, it needs to check the power pin of the RJ-45 is Pin 4,5,7,8 or 1,2,3,6.  our APOE03 uses the pin 4,5,7,8.

If the IP camera is IEEE802.3 af/at standard   PoE:  Use a 48V power supply + APOE03 .  A 48V power supply must with a standard DC barrel connector is the best option, for ease of installation.

Hi Simon, I just wanted to say that I ordered a couple of SMA cables from you guys and I really enjoy the quality and craftsmanship!
I just got one today and I’m excited to get the other one later this week so I can finish my project. The quality of the cables really made me happy, so thanks. I find these days it’s hard to find vendors who make good products, so I really do thank you.

  1. Request the one page Credit Application from Customer Service
  2. Complete the application.

Data Alliance Customer Service will be in touch with you shortly. You should expect an approval within 48 hours, depending on how quickly your references respond to our requests.

You can help speed the process along by calling your references and bank, alerting them that they will be receiving a trade reference request from Data Alliance and to please respond quickly.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What counts as a trade reference? A. Any trade credit account that has had activity in the past 12 months, whether it be an open account with supplier or even a Home Depot account.

Q. What if I don’t have a bank account? A. If you don’t have a current business banking relationship or bank account, any loan balance on a vehicle, equipment or building loan will work. Fill out the bank reference part of the form with the bank that holds your loan, including your loan reference number.

Q. What information do you ask my trade references? A. The only information we ask your trade references is to confirm the information you provided and whether or not your account is in good standing. That’s it.

The speed/throughput of an Ethernet Cable connection is better by a multiple of as much as 4X, if the RG45 connections have 50 Micron Gold Plating, as compared to standard metal contacts.

Gold is a much better conductor than any other common metal, and so the amount of signal loss is far less using gold, compared to cheaper metals.

Cheap keystone jacks and mass-produced cables and  often have no Gold Plating in the contacts. The efficiency of these network cables is as low as 20% of a similar cable with 50-micron gold plating (and otherwise constructed of the same materials).

All of Data Alliance’s ethernet cables pass the Fluke test, and are produced with the finest materials, including RJ45 Plugs with minimum of 50 Microns of Gold Plating.  Data Alliance provides CAT5e and CAT6 and CAT6a patch and crossover cables for all networking aplications in 9 colors.

Why 50-Micron Gold Plating is Important

  • Connectors maintain the signal connection between the cable and the RJ45 jack or port.
  • As time passes, the connectors are exposed to corrosive conditions such as moisture and humidity: This results in a loss of signal quality.
  • More corrosion = lower quality

Gold is:

  • Highly durable
  • Highly conductive
  • Non-corrosive

The thickness of the gold plating affects the lifespan of the connection

  • The thinnest plating is called “flash plating”
  • The amount of gold plating on connectors is measured in microns
  • 50 microns ensures a stable, high-speed connection, that will last for many years

To whom it may concern,

In my world, I only seem to hear when someone on our team doesn’t live up to our expectations.  I believe it’s important when people go above and beyond that they should be recognized.  Simon Kingsley has done just that.  Our company is in the middle of a development project and at the critical junction.  On this Friday afternoon at 4:00PM EST we needed a very unusual adapter.  When searching online, what we found was 15 to 30 days to deliver from China.  My colleague went to google and your company caught our attention.  We were fortunate enough to get Simon on the phone and he was a tremendous help.  He configured the adapter set to meet our requirements and was able to get your shipping department to run to UPS and drop it off for Saturday delivery.  We were thrilled; the project would not come to a halt.
After the adrenaline and settled we reviewed the order and realized our configuration was wrong.  We immediately called Simon knowing we were at the UPS cut off time.  He went into action and identified the right parts, got the warehouse and shipping people on the phone and was able to get the correct parts out for delivery on Saturday.  A remarkable feat.
He was calm, courteous, patient and projected this “can do” attitude.  Please note, I’m talking about an $8.00 part.  In both cases, the cost of freight was immaterial, we were happy to pay the Saturday delivery premium.  The fact that Simon refused to give in and found a way to make this happen was wonderful.
We congratulate your company for having him as a representative.
I can’t thank everyone enough and you have certainly found a new customer.
Regards,
Rob

Ubiquiti Aircam and Aircam Dome run on 24-volt POE.

Higher-end cameras including Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras, use 48-volt POE.

If you are using Ubiquiti POE switches, you will need a TS-PRO-8 for 48-volt: That is the 8-port version.  The smaller version of Tough Switch with 5-ports only has 24-volt POE.

The Ubiquiti UAPs (indoor and outdoor) will mesh automatically if they all share the same SSID (and of course have to be on the same IP subnet).    To set the best path:  You have to do that manually in the UniFi management software

In resonse to customer question:

Our testing was excellent for the Ubiquiti OutdoorAPs. We’re finalizing our proposal and will be purchasing more of them from you. My only question is how to make them mesh automatically for best path? I only see how look and see manually which is best path and them connect them. (Using the UniFi management software).
